Hate Tax Prep&File

My experience with TurboTax took 90% of the stress out of this process for me because I have always paid someone else to work out this maze called tax prep. So now, that I can't afford to have someone else do it, I was forced to look at other options to get it done. TurboTax was my life saver - I used another tax product one year and it was not easy. For me trying to work between TurboTax and H&R Block was very challenging. Mainly trying to get information to carry over from one product to the next - that was mainly with H&R Block, because TurboTax transferred easily to that product but going back to was a problem. Added on extra stress delays and anxiety.
I strongly recommend TurboTax (and stay with it) for it's simplistic way method for getting the taxes done! Just answering questions and the helps that are available with this product, made my experience far less stressful.

What's great about it: TurboTax makes it easy, just answer questions
What's not so great: On your own mostly if you are behind in filing

Everything went swimmingly well....
Until I got to the part where I was agreeing to put part of the return on an Amazon gift card. I entered my name and the date, and clicked "I agree", then it took me to a screen saying I hadn't filled in the date properly, and it had the date underneath it that I needed to copy. The numbers were exactly the same, no difference at all. I tried re-typing it a few times and each time it said I had entered the wrong date. I KNOW what today's date is, it was even prompting me with the correct date, and I'd enter that exact date, and then it'd tell me that I had entered the incorrect date. I tried to make it a day before and after today's date. Nothing worked. I ended up NOT being able to sign up for part of my money on an Amazon.com gift card, because the software was glitched. I was pretty upset about that.
What's great about it: Takes you through everything step-by-step
What's not so great: Software glitch

Excellent, as always

I have used TurboTax since it was a compiled spreadsheet and have always felt it was the best tax preparation software out there. Friends and acquaintances use other software and are always asking me for help, and keep telling them to get TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Some of the help features could be better
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo tax is great tool:
it reduced time
Organizes the preprarer

What's great about it: Turbo tax was very helpful in completing my returns.
What's not so great: I am partner in an accounting large accounting firm, some of the partnership specific issue can be simplified.

I was very disappointed to find out that after I e-filed that the IRS never received it, now I am probably going to get a penalty against me because of it.
What's great about it: I liked how easy it was to do my taxes
