I used Turbo Tax for many years and will continue to do so.
What's great about it: So, so very easy
What's not so great: Not much I don't like.

Well done, has never let me down!

I've never had to use any other program in the last twenty-five years to complete my tax returns. In good years and bad years, TurboTax has never let me down when it came down to the deadline. In the bad years, at least it helped ease the pain of doing the taxes. Curtis L. Roberts
What's great about it: Simplicity!
What's not so great: Late updates that sometime affect my taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I needed a human to help me amend my 2012 Federal return, and both Anne & Peggy walked me thru the steps to complete this task.
I actually get some money back now!
Thanks for the human help - no computer can do this for we humans who pay taxes!
What's great about it: Peggy & Anne helped me amend my 2013 Federal return
What's not so great: too bad it's so late

Should be easier to make changes.
What's great about it: Guides you through
What's not so great: Too cumbersome to go back and make changes and too many questions to sift through

Easy to Use, A Few Tweeks...
on November 1, 2014

This software is easy to use. This was my first time using it, so I can't make an assessment of accuracy. I assume that it was accurate. It guided me through the steps easily. It was easy to enter information. I liked being able to download some information instead of entering it (like W2's).
There were a few points where the workflow was inconsistent, but it was nothing that affected my return's accuracy. For example, I can't e-file for particular reasons that TurboTax explained. That's fine. So I went with the mail-in option. When I hit "Continue", TurboTax suggested that I consider e-file, even though it had just said that I couldn't e-file. So I confirmed that I wanted to print and mail in, and that was fine. There was another case like this, where it didn't cause any problem, but I had to confirm a selection which TurboTax had just said was the only option. (I can't remember where it was.) In other places, TurboTax gave me a message saying there was a single option available, and so the only choice was "Continue". So I think that the two cases I mentioned above were incorrect behavior.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: A Few Tweeks to Interface

Stop putting in new detours Simplify, keep it simple, don';t change because your fav nerd in the office has a new gimmick or the CEO needs to impress anyone or you think it is the best way to do business., No. keep what works - no new gimmicks no change because the competition is changing their stuff
Did anyone read this?????
What's great about it: I've been doing this for awhile so know how to manuver sometimes
What's not so great: I;\'ve been doing this for awhile and you always surprise me in that you make things many more difficult
