easy peasy return

i have been using turbo tax for about 10 years and i will continue to use the product
What's great about it: everything is easy to follow
What's not so great: exactly where i went went wrong on my return not highligthed to correctly

Mailing address

When having to mail in taxes, it would be nice to include Fed and State addresses right on the Turbo Tax cover sheet. Also, First taxes I did I was able to E-File, and was then prompted to save to Doc's, flash drive or even email. The other two taxes I did had to be mailed in. The only prompt that came up was to print. I was eventually able to save to PC Doc's, but unable to send to email.

Always use Turbo Tax

I have used TurboTax for many years. Bringing the information forward from last year's return gives me a good picture of what I need to collect and complete. Importing my information from my brokerage account is simple and saves a great deal of time.
What's great about it: Info from previous year and importing key data
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I E-FILE my taxes, but when I go to E-File my kids taxes it does not allow it. So they must be mailed in, taking several weeks

Mistake

Two of the last four years i have had to pay extra tax plus a penalty because the Turbo Tax software entered an incorrect amount . This year it was on Line 5 of the Illinois 1040 return. The software pulled 8000 dollars from Line 15-b of the US form 1040 that was not entered.
What's great about it: Federal and Missouri was fine
What's not so great: Fro some reason Tirbo Tax has problems with IL state taxes

Software is good - website lacks

I got caught behind and filing late. I had could not use online products. But trying to find and purchase download products was ridiculously difficult and I nearly quit mid stream to find a competitors product even though I have used nothing else but turbo tax for the last 15+ years.
Fix it.
What's great about it: The product is good.
What's not so great: Very difficult and frustrating to buy non-online products from past years
