Steam isn't steam!
on August 11, 2015

We bought this dryer and tried the Steam Fresh feature. The clothing came out with water spots on it. We watched the cycle through the glass door and water poured out of the part that the steam should come out of. We had the appliance service come out and look at it and he said it should be steam that comes out, not water. We returned the dryer and got another new machine and it does the same thing. Is this what other people are experiencing with their steam dryer? Is it suppose to be water that pours into the drum instead of steam?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dryer is wonderful!

We have really enjoyed the quietness of this dryer. The chimes that signal the end of cycle are so soothing! Sensors check for dryness and cut it off early if the clothes are dry, saving electricity. The dryer cuts off automatically if the door is opened and left open too long. (This is good when you have young children around.) The stainless steel drum won't chip! I love being able to see the clothes through the glass in the door. My old dryer got clothes rolled up in a bundle and the center was never dry. This dryer has never rolled the clothes into a tight bundle. I find that this dryer does the same job as my old dryer in less time and the clothes are never hot to touch. I love it!
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, chimes for end of cycle, quietness, quick drying time

Wife's happy
on June 22, 2015

Honestly, my wife was insistent on having a gray colored set of washer/dryers. As I'm sure the manufacturers have figured out, they can get away with charging a lot more just to get this color (only a few market choices#. Anyway, that's the only negative #price). We've had it installed for about a month now and using it regularly. We haven't quite figured out all the options but it is easy to use and seems to work/dry great. Two-way door is interesting...I like to use the drop-down for loading as you can just throw the clothes "down" and they go right in without having to bend much. Especially since it was the same price as the version with fixed door.
Pros: easy to use

I like my LG Washer - but I LOVE this dryer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer choice has always been: whatever matched the washer...and so it was with my new LG DLEX5780WE dryer. Well, dryers have come a long way baby! This steam technology - who would think, steam in a dryer - is amazing. Clothes come out soft and fluffy and no static cling at all. It doesn't seem like it is as tough on the clothes either, the fabric doesn't feel like it's been roasted in an oven when it comes out. I'm a woman and we don't machine dry the stuff we don't want to shrink, shrivel or turn into a rag, so don't be rash and dry every delicate thing you own in the machine - it's only good for so much. But what it does well is awesome.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

Awesome Upgrade

After having a standard dryer for 10 years this is definitely the cats meow. It is so quiet and spoiler here actually dries my clothes in a quick amount of time. Draws so much less electricity as well. Haven't tried out all of the awesome features yet but so far VERY happy.

Everything I wanted in a dryer and energy star rated.
What else is needed.
This is the best dryer I have had. The use of electricity is much less than a regular dryer.
