Small parts issues

I have purchased 2 of these items in the past 3 years. I love the convenience & recycle savings. What I DON'T like is the poor quality of the small parts involved. My first one had to be replaced because the small washer in the top where you screw in the bottle broke & fell out. Now my 2nd one (only 10 months old) has to be replaced because the tiny spring in the top mechanism the pierces the canister as a new one is installed has failed. For what they cost, one would think they'd be better quality! I'm looking for an alternative maker this time.

I was urged to reduce my sugar intake. I dislike the taste of diet sweeteners. But I NEED bubbles for a drink to feel refreshing...so this is the answer!

I bought this because I have one and love the product! However the new one did not make the familiar buzz when "charging" the water and then water had only slight carbonation. I called customer service and they were very helpful. Talked me through a troubleshooting process and determined the sodastream was not functioning properly. They then emailed me a return packing slip and I had to repackage the sodastream and return via UPS (which was not very convenient for me due to where I live). I have received notice that the replacement should be delivered Monday. I am hoping to be satisfied and will update after that.

Not the better style

This unit is not a easy to use as the Genesis. Wish I had bought the later. Getting the bottle in and out of this unit id a constant problem.

We have had this machine for just around 3 years. I bought it on a whim, expecting that I probably would be wasting money on an as seen on TV thing. My husband wasn't very happy with me either. However, it is used multiple times a day by both of us. However, it did just break, but after this long and how much use, we're not upset by it. We are now about to buy another one. Such an awesome product.5`

I bought this to replace a Sodastream that I had for quite awhile and really liked. Unfortunately, it expired. This replacement item is not as nearly as nice. It seems lightweight and flimsy. Mostly plastic I'd guess. It is awkward to use, attaching he water bottle requires three hands. (Not making that up!) It also does not make a significant noise when the air is put into the bottle, making it hard to judge if there is enough gas or too much. The little "carry bag" for the bottle is just lame. All-in-all I would like to pull my old one out of the trash and see what super glue and twine could accomplish to revive it.
