A great game, but you will need Steam.

What's great about it: Overall, it's great!
What's not so great: Installation may be challenging for some, and integrated graphics will yield a black screen.
I love this game. It runs a little slow on my computer, but I'm getting a new graphics card soon. This game will NOT work with Intel integrated graphics. Be sure to check your system specs first. Installation was a little slow and difficult, because it requires you to install Steam and create an account. For those of you who don't know what Steam is, it's sort of like VALVe's iTunes store of games. The visuals in the game are impressive, and there are lots of mechanics that keep the game from getting repetitive or boring. Anything new that you encounter is well explained. It may seem like a slow start for Portal veterans, but it helps people who have never played Portal before (like me) to jump right in. The story is thick, and the voice acting is great. This game will not dissapoint.

What's great about it: Excellent storyline, graphics, and game play.
What's not so great: Wish it lasted longer.
I highly recommend playing the original Portal before playing Portal 2. The storyline carries over and is quite entertaining. New ways to move from point A to point B have been added and makes the game even more fun. Included to help you solve some of the puzzles are, speed, bouncing, and portal gels that you place on floors and walls to run fast, bounce high, or open portals on floors and walls which you normally aren't allowed to place portals on. There are also bridges that can be redirected to assist you.
All puzzles seem to be solvable without having to look for a walkthrough (based on my average intelligence, notice i'm not using the word "above"). If you liked the first Portal, chances are you will like this game. There is also a multiplayer mode now which I haven't had a chance to try out but seems like it would be fun as well. Like the first game, it seems to finish quickly but is still worth the money in my opinion.
I know many games are moving towards using the STEAM software installation method, to say the least it is very annoying. Basically you purchase this game which installs STEAM on your computer, then you go to the STEAM site and download the actual game from there. Takes quite a while to do. Understandably they do this to keep their software from being copied illegally. Still a great game.

What's great about it: Challenging gameplay
What's not so great: Getting stuck on a particular test can be frustrating.
I played the original Portal and loved it. This sequel takes everything that made the first game great and runs with it. Breathtaking scenery, a great plot, and challenging gameplay will keep you busy for hours. You won't want to stop playing until you finish.

Don't take the summary too seriously. It's okay, you are after all, only human. You shouldn't be expected to complete such dangerous and difficult tasks. Why not just have some cake?
