What's great about it: Other than door bins, form and function are both excellent, crispers, folding shelves, pull out drawer
What's not so great: Paint scratches easily, door bins could be larger and offer more options for placement on the door.
I had been shopping around for a french door refrigerator for about 2 months when I first laid eyes on this Samsung model. I'd pretty much settled on a certain "K" brand fridge until I saw this unit and fell in love at first sight. Unfortunately, its high price was quite prohibitive and I decided to put the purchase on hold in the hopes that it would go on sale in the near future.
As luck would have it, Best Buy dropped the price to just under 2G during their Black Friday sale and I wasted no time in ordering it online. The sale and delivery went off without a hitch and I am happy to say that there has not been a single moment that I've regretted my purchase.
First off, the fridge is really beautiful and has enhanced the appearance of my kitchen. I was thrilled to be able to get such a high end unit in the 33" width that I needed. However, I did need to have the frame and doors of my overhead cabinet cut down to accommodate this tall unit. As for functionality, I have never had an appliance with so many bells and whistles and I'm truly enjoying each and every one. The sliding shelves provide easy access to the items on the shelves, the flip up top shelf and fold away half shelf make room for tall items such as wine and soda bottles. Also since the height of most shelves can be adjusted according to one's preference, I have rearranged one or two of them so that I can fit a gallon of milk and cartons of juice in the main compartment of the refrigerator.
The crisper drawers REALLY do an outstanding job (unlike those in the 30 year old model I was replacing.) For example, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that.Romaine lettuce in an OPEN bag retained its crispness for well over a week due to the excellent performance of the crisper drawer.
However, the feature that drew me most to this model was the fourth door (actually a separate refrigerator drawer with its own thermostat.) Because the drawer has its own temperature control I am able to store my meats, cheeses and coldcuts at a colder temperature than that of the main refrigerator compartment. This colder setting keep my items fresh for a longer time. In everyday use, the easy access to the contents of this drawer is really a plus, particularly when preparing sandwiches. Finally, the drawer can also serve as the perfect place to store food trays and canned/bottled beverages for parties. The trays are safe from interference and cans and bottles are be very easy to access. For my purposes, the separate external refrigerator drawer offered on this model is much more useful than the extra external freezer drawer that is featured in other brands.
As for the freezer, it is designed pretty well for a bottom "drawer" freezer. The interior drawer above the main bin is good for storing boxed vegetables, ice cream cartons, frozen leftover containers and smaller cartons of prepared foods, while the larger divided bin below is just the ticket for whole chickens, roasts, bags of veggies or bags of french fries, etc. The freezer drawer front panel even has a short shallow shelf on the inside that can hold juice cans and other small cylindrical items. While this layout is not as convenient as a freezer with shelves at eye level, or a side-by-side freezer, this is a small trade off for the convenience and control that comes with having your main food compartment at eye level.
AS for the water and ice dispenser, I am relieved that it has been working without problems for the four weeks that I've had the refrigerator and I am enjoying the convenience that it provides. The water filter works well and the water tastes much cleaner and fresher than it does directly from the tap..
Of course, nothing is perfect, and there a few negatives I must mention. One is that the door bins are rather small and their height cannot be adjusted very much. As a result, cans and bottles are hard to access on the lower shelves of the right hand door. Also, the ice maker is not built into the door, so it takes up a fair amount of space in the refrigerator compartment. Hopefully this placement will render the ice-maker more reliable than those that are built right into the door. If so, then the trade off will have been worth it, but only time will tell. I also wish that the ice cubes were actually CUBES rather than crescents. More importantly, I use a thermometer to monitor the temperature and it seems that the temperature inside the fridge always seems to be about 8 degrees colder than the setting I select on the door panel. I will likely be calling Samsung to have a service tech come to my home to check this out.. Finally, the only major problem that I've experienced is that one of the doors already has fine scratches in two places from being dried with a dishtowel!. I had no idea the black glossy paint could be so easily marred. Apparently, I will have to get a VERY soft cotton cloth with which to wash/dry the surface of the refrigerator. Thankfully I discovered this problem right away so the scratches are limited in size and so fine that they are not easy to find.
In spite of these few complaints, I think this refrigerator is absolutely terrific. It keeps my food fresh and is very well designed both in form and in function. It is truly a pleasure to use and I highly recommend it .

What's great about it: Everything fits, food lasts longer than ever before & tastes great
What's not so great: can't think of anything!
Every time I just look at this appliance it makes me happy. My favorite features, ice cold delicious water on door and 'specialty' drawer. I'm a cheese person, and I've loaded it choke full of my favorites. There's so much space in this fridge & I had a limited width, so I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase.
I'm also thankful that I was able get it on sale thru Best Buy!

What's great about it: Features, space
We had a smaller opening, so we had to limit our choices to those under 35 inches wide. That really limits the options, but this refrigerator was able to meet all of our needs in the size we needed. We bought the black and we are happy with all the features. The extra drawer for deli stuff is fantastic and so easy to use. I LOVE that I can actually see everything in the fridge. I have less wasted food now because I can see what there is when I open the doors. The freezer is also very nice and holds much more than I thought it would. The sliding drawer is fantastic and comes in handy for flash freezing fruit or items on a cookie sheet. The lighting in the fridge is great and the ice/water dispenser work great. The only complaint is that the doors have a little stop before they fully close, so if you are used to just pushing a door in the general direction of closed and it closes on its own, this doesn't do that. You have to put a little muscle into it OR purposefully close the door. So, definitely keep the door alarm on until you get used to it because you will have doors left open! Just a bit of getting used to though, not a flaw really. The black looks great and wipes off easily. The handles are all solid and I like that you have to lift up a little to get into the drawers - that keeps my kids from just pulling them out all the time. Anyway, we are very pleased with everything on the fridge and with how it is working.

What's great about it: Design, functionality, great lighting and through the door features.
What's not so great: Ice maker loud and low volume, interior has a few blind spots
Purchased this Samsung to replace aging side by side. Shopped all major brands and stores. Settled on this model based on unique four drawer design and a great price over Memorial Day. Delivery and set up great. After settling for a month the best features for me are the quick fourth drawer design so I can grab a beverage or snack without opening the big doors in the heat. In the main part I do like being able to quickly re-arrange the layout to accomodate after grocery shopping. Love the inside lighting and ease of cleaning.Freezer on bottom seems better than the side to side, easy enough to see and we do not fill to capacity so we do not loose stuff as others point out as downfall on bottom freezers
Cons for us. Interior room in fridge seems a bit smaller than we had based on adding the ice maker space. Ice volume is OK, but a bit limited on hot days or a party. Takes a bit of delay for ice to flow out of door. Doors on fridge do not open 180 degrees, makes cleaning a bit tougher. Ice dropping into interior resevoir is surprisingly loud!
