I LOVE THIS TABLET

I spent months researching tablets and really wanted an 8 or 9" one. This one had the best mix of hardware and style that I found - I LOVE the 64gb SD upgrade option - plus the extra 0.3" of display is an awesome bonus.
Glad I took so long to make my decision.
Well done LG!

Size is perfect. The small bezels keep the overall size down allowing the screen to be the center of attention. Good overall sound. Very thin and light. Aluminum back keeps it cool to the touch and a sturdy build. Knock-on/off feature is a nice adaptation and saves that power button. On-screen nav buttons can be personalized. Overall a great product that has finally made me put my Galaxy S4 down!

Fast and has a great screen. All the stuff listed on the feature page is nice, but the main points are it's fast and has a great screen. We had 4 tablets in the house and I didn't want another slow one. Great build quality too. The double-tap feature is a really handy.

I wanted something bigger than my smartphone in order to check my e-mail and browse the Internet. This tablet was perfect. The size is just right. The display is awesome. Nice power and performance. Easy to use. A great value compared to comparable tablets on the market. Packed with extras that more expensive tablets have. Why pay more for another tablet when you have it in the LG G pad already? I love my LG G pad.

I tend to be brand loyal. I own an LG smartphone (love it) and an ASUS computer (love it too). So I went back and forth on which brand of tablet to buy. I decided to go with LG and man oh man am I happy! This baby rocks! It's compact, fast, and I think the screen rivals the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy products for a much lower price.

My first initial viewing of the tablet was breathtaking.
It has a look & a feel that I would describe as "iPad quality" & glamour.
So far I have observed no lag with the tablet in the different apps & games that I've downloaded & played.
I am a big LG fan, & they hit all the marks with this perfectly sized tablet.

I got my G 8.3 v500 tablet 3 weeks ago. It is small and compact. Very easy to navigate. Quick response. Apps are easy to add and delete. It did 'die' on me once, but has run very well after a soft reset. I use for quick research and web browsing primarily.

Out of date OS and no update coming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this nearly 3 years now it is a great great tab but, Lg by the looks of it are not bringing out a software update anytime soon. It is running 4.4.2 while everything else on android is on 5.1. Tried to download the DJI app and I cant because the software is to old. So this really powerful sleek tablet has become outdated because LG cant roll out a update outside Asia
