Excellent 11x17

I needed an 11x17 all in one. This is the best bang for the buck around. I have owned other Brother products and the quality and longevity is FAR superior to HP.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't buy this printer if you need quality

Brand new unit with very little use before prints come out misaligned and just quit. Could not power on. Sent it back and got a replacement (so was without a printer for 3-4 days) but was happy to get it replaced. The replacement unit has the same problems. The manual feed only takes 1 sheet at a time. the color is not very crisp. this is NOT suitable for business use. Called to complain again and was told the only option would be to take it to a local repair facility. I don't have time for this and would rather just buy a good printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good printer

Printer works great. Issues that I have with it:
1. for 11x17 doc from side feed need some kind of tray to help hold paper in place better and needs to be multiple pages.
2. loses my computer name for scanning purposes. when it did come back did can't reach my computer. Go through MS control panel to get scan.

Great 4 in 1 for my small business

I've owned this unit for approx 5 months and it has performed admirably. Brother's customer service has been exceptionally helpful and accomodating. Very happy with this overall experience.

Slow

Slow process to make copies. AirPrinter used to work ok, now can't even get it to print. Support is not good, doesn't ever give me info requested, nor do the help instructions ever "help". Reduce/enlarege does not have a custom setting, so very limited. Copies aren't great quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good all round all in one

I would rate this 5 stars except for one missing feature that is very important to me.
There is no pre-scan capability allowing you to adjust the brightness and contrast on the image to be scanned.
The controls are there, but without an image to view it's hit and miss on good results.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
