It's Just OK

Brought the MFC-J6920DW about 10 months ago. This printer is quick, Versatile and able to perform many functions. HOWEVER, the color printing quality is terrible. Colors are washed out and are NOT crisp. Had an HP970 that produced far better color reproductions than this printer.
After 6 to 7 months went by the printer fails and brother replaced it quickly with a reconditioned one that works fine.

I would recommend this printer but not of the color reproduction is important to you.

Satisfied With Purchase MFCJ6920DW

Purchase of this printer was the first time I moved away from Canon and HP printers. I only use this printer for home use I am completely satisfied with the print quality. Most of all, I'm very satisfied with the reasonable cost of ink for this printer compared to HP and Canon, particularly HP. I gave the printer 4 stars because of what I consider an awkward way of paper feed and loading. Quite different from all other printers I've owned, i.e. Canon, HP, Epson and Samsung. However, this is just a rethink on my part.

Residential Building Field Office

It's been a little over 90 days since I set up the printer. I've put at least 3 reams of 11x17 and twice that in 8.5X11, through the printer so far. I have replaced the black cartridge 3 times and the colors once, since I set it up. I use the machine to make copies and its my only scanner. Its a great machine for the money. I do keep a clean workspace and try to keep the dust down, but in a field office, its an uphill battle to do this. I chose this printer after reading several reviews and shopping around. I am glad I bought this machine. Since my purchase here, a few of my peers are upgrading theirs as well. The 11x17 copy /Print feature is PERFECT for communicating blueprint details in the field and sharing information on-demand, w/o having to drive to a Printer. The Ink is much cheaper that the competition too. That's a Plus. Also want to Note here that I have printed several photos on photo paper (MOSTLY 4X6; AND A FEW LARGER), and they look great too. So far this printer has proven itself to be durable and affordable. I hope to update this review in 3 more months to see how its doing then.

the two trays are handy. printing 11 x 17 paper is good. the quality of the print is disappointing, compared to other printers I have used.
