Line quality not adequate for drawings

I have been using my printer to print construction drawings and other engineering reports. Horizontal lines continually print with jags and offsets. This does not present well when sending documents to clients. The suggested solution was to slow down the printing, but the difference in time to print is ridiculous.
I also have problems when scanning documents, particularly 11x17. The scans end up skewed quite often.
The functions are the right ones, they just don't present the quality I require for my business.

A little disappointment

After many years our HP 6410 all in one printer died. Researched several options and decided on this Brother printer as it seemed to have the features we wanted at a good price point. The installation was simple, set up easy and the touch screen very user friendly. The wi-fi capability is excellent and makes printing from our iPhones and iPads a snap. Everything you need to get going is in the box and we were printing from the PC literally in a matter of minutes. Toughest part was getting it out of the box as it is heavy.
I gave the printer 4 stars for two reasons. First, the color printing is not very good; sure you get color but it is pale. Printing pictures are a waste of ink as they come out looking faded.
Second, the single page feed on the back of the printer is not very consistent. Sometimes it feeds through fine and other times it just won't. Makes printing the few checks I do print an ordeal.

The newer technology is wonderful!

Duplex printing and non-smearing ink is a must for some of us. The MFC-J6920DW is my third all-in-one device and my first Brother product. My photographs present a high quality for this photographer. Tray two does not respond on the auto setting. It jams like any other device does. However, its paper supply is readily available for tray one. I notice that the heavier papers at 24# perform better. Scanning .jpg's and .pdf's for file or e-mail is a great feature. The Pro Series meets my needs well.

I have used many printers over the years and have been extremely satisfied with the Brother MFC-J6920DW. It is a very versatile unit. I will definitely purchase another unit when needed.

Decent Printer

Overall good value. Only issue is wireless antenna is very weak. All other peripherals, notebooks and tablets send and receive signals with ease throughout our work area. Only the Brother MFC-J6920DW must be within 10 feet unobstructed line of site to work with wireless communication.
Because this makes us have to rearrange the space to accommodate the printer, it makes the wireless feature virtually useless. If not corrected in future models I would not repurchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to install. Satisfies my need to print ledger paper and scan oversized documents. Plus, we can now print directly from phones and an Ipad.

Great Multifunction Printer Copier Fax

We needed a wide format scanner in our system that would shrink to letter. This fits the bill. All the other features are great, but this is the one reason we chose this machine. Print quality is superb.
