I needed a large format (11x17) print and scan function for drawing mark-ups. This printer does it at a great price. The wireless capability is a huge plus. The dual paper trays makes paper changing from large format to standard letter a thing of the past. Ink consumption seems to be as expected for an inkjet.

this is a very nice printer, fast and efficient. the learning process was the only issue I had, see I was used to pages being printed one way and done. this printer loads paper in one way for letter and the other way for larger than normal. the options for everything and I mean everything are plentiful and I am eager to use them all if I can. that wont happen .lol good job brother

I am a long time user of Brother MFC-laser printers; this is my first MFC officejet printer. I currently have 3 MFC's in use in my home office. I bought this MFC-J6920DW online after reading many reviews. It prints eventually after a long time of priming itself; does print the pages pretty fast once it gets started. Does not print #10 envelopes at all; cannot be configured with a national leading online postage company. I print many envelopes and I have had only one Brother MFC ( about 15+ years ago) that did a professional job with envelopes. This printer receives faxes but slow at processing & printing; especially mutiple incoming pages. The MFC-J6920DW does a superior job of scanning multiple duplex pages in forward action.

I went completely against my gut and purchased this all in one because it offered so many stand-out features. I loved that it was NFC compatible on top of supposedly having high-quality prints. These are NOT high quality prints, my NFC works MAYBE half the time, and the initial set up is a nightmare! It states I can use one sided print if I should run out of a certain color, but it absolutely will not print anything if 1 color should go out. So by all means, KEEP EXTRA ON HAND IF YOU SHOULD DECIDE TO GET INTO THIS! Also, I do NOT need a printed report each and every time I connect to Wi-Fi-such a waste of ink and paper! If there's an option to turn this off, I've yet to find it, and I've tried EVERYTHING. I'm a stay at home mom, and do not have a large income. I opted for this more expensive printer because as a girl scout leader, many printouts/forms, etc. are always required. I was expecting this printer to fulfill these BASIC needs... It did not, unfortunately. Extremely disappointed in this purchase and will more than likely not purchase another Brother product.

The MFC-J6920DW jams frequently when I try to fax. I like the buttons on my previous unit- this one is touch and sometimes it doesn't recognize touch. The jamming is really the problem.
