Very good printer - with some drawbacks

This is a very good printer for a home office. The software works well, is relatively easy to use, and so far is bug free. The hardware has office-capable features like two paper trays and a very large scan / copy deck. Price for printer ink promises to be competitive.
Drawback include: The print quality is not excellent. This is physically a large device and occupies a good deal of space. The scan software does not take advantage of the very large scan / copy deck.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Piece of junk

Had this machine for two and a half years. About 6 months ago, it started acting up and then finally just totally quit. I've had various printers since 1982 and I have never had a printer die this soon after purchase. Service center (local, not Brother) told me it would cost more to fix than it was worth so I should go buy another machine. What the heck!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It was easy to set up and is performing well so far. It is a large machine, so be sure you have the room. It satisfies the needs I wanted it fill. I am happy.

Problem with 11x17

The setup was excellent. This product is improved from the previous 11x17 printers. Your engineers need to find away so that the 11x17 sheets are not grabbed in multiples. Sometimes the prints are on one 10th of one sheet, leaves the rest blank and then grabs another to finish. This happens now too often.

We have printed about 15,000 sheets so far on this printer. We have scanned about the same amount. It's been working flawlessly, it's fast, the ink is reasonable. The print quality is prefect for general office use. The scanner is quick and the scan software for Macintosh is easy to configure for custom scans.10/10. This is a very versatile AIO and it has enough speed and features to be used as your main office printer.

Solid machine!

The all-in-one prints nicely and quickly; the ability to print double-sided is wonderful as is the large scanning bed. My primary gripe concerns the scanning software, which is clunky and unattractive. For example, you can scan a multi-page document to a single PDF, but not if you set the scanning area to a custom size.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great feature set and clear print. Slow on copy function compared to previous printer but more stable performance so that is a decent trade off.
