Love this printer!

This printer has served me without issue since buying it. It has all of the features I need for a small business and more. I love Control Center and the Ink monitoring feature of the printer.

Very frustrating

I have had Brother printer/fax/scanners in the past and they've been wonderful, and relatively easy to use and reliable. I "upgraded" to this model and have had ongoing frustration, and so have all my staff. It doesn't seem to interface with our computers, both PC and Mac, as easily as our old ones. The paper orientation and size is always an issue, no matter how many times we reset, follow directions and contact customer support. It works for a while, and then it doesn't. The machine itself is fine, and nice-looking! But, the software and interface is a big problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far works very well. took back an HP which was clunky by comparison. Having two paper drawers is excellent. Very useful to have the single sheet feed in the back for special paper - although you do have to shove it in quite hard. Softwre is not that intuitive,seems to take several steps to scan, but that may just be my disinclination to read instructions. Very good.

Backward Features

I am a huge fan of Brother. I only wish that they had reversed the feature to pick the normal copy vs the fine copy. Having the fine copy as the first choice is a huge waste of time for the people in our office. It would be so much better if normal was the default feature and fine was a choice selection.

PRINTING IS GREAT AND CLEAR

THIS PRINTER IS QUITE BIG, BUT PRETY QUIET. IT USES FAR LESS INK THEN OTHER PRINTERS I HAVE HAD. HOWEVER, ONE THING THAT I CONSTANTLY HAVE TROUBLE WITH IS KEEPING IT CONNECTED TO WIFI. I ALWAYS HAVE TO GO AND TURN IT OFF /ON TO GET IT TO PRINT. THAT THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH IT THAT I CAN SEE, ITS JUST SO ANNOYING

Needed large format printer

Makes pretty decent color copies of all sizes. However, it is inconsistent about when it is willing to be a printer of large format. I purchased so I could print Ledger size documents. I never know when the printer will be okay with doing so!
