Great model!

I was surprised! The 6920 was bigger than the picture looked but my mind was thinking this thing also does 11x17... But its not so heavy either!
Purchased to replace a competitor multi-function model.
The install went great for Windows 7.
Cost for multi-function professional grade was great too. From experience I know my ink costs will drop like a rock too.
A note. While using a few more inches of cable, the connections are hidden, "inside" of the printer. Pro/Con, leave that to your taste. I beleive it to be on the Pro side as it also protects those fragile connectors!
I have not had it up for but about a week, but, have it on the ethernet network, hooked to another PC via USB, and the output is great, very sharp printing, crisp. Ccpy and printing seem to meet to exceed expectations!
Love the two drawer standard feature.

I absolutely love this machine - very nice and dependable. Doesn't jam up all the time.
Thank you Brother - I literally called 5 times before I got the drivers correct for my MAC. You were there every step of the way to see me through the process and I cannot thank you enough. This is My second Brother machine and I love it

Works as needed, instructions unclear

Previously had Brother MFC-6490CW. Primary reason for getting it was to scan objects larger than letter-size. Worked perfectly until Win8.1 when scanner interface would not work. Friend wanted it, sold it to him and bought this. Installed software, tried four times in two days to get wireless LAN to see it, no success. Uninstalled everything, then connected printer and found LAN, then installed software. After that, success. 90% of use is for scanning, 10% for printing. No fax connection so don't use that feature. Never used copying feature. Scanning is half-again as fast as the MFC-6490W, plus this scans full 11x17 with no 1/8th inch "cutoff" at edges. Three stars for the instructions which need to be clear that the device must find and connect to the LAN (wired or wireless) first before installing the software. Five stars for the device features and performance once connected.

Very Good Black & White Printer
on September 7, 2015

Printer and copy works very good like the option having 11x17 not used often but good to have when needed. Like the print speed. The only negative thing I can say about this printer is the color printing and copies are not the same quality that HP has . Very happy with ever thing else. I would purchase again when needed. I have had good results with all Brother products that I have purchased.

Best not said!

Worst 'Customer Service' experience! A more appropriate term would be: Customer DISSERVICE!
Total indifference and disregard for the Customer.
Not at all consistent with the corporate statement or mission! Because of the lack of care and honesty on the customer care side I paid for the timely repairs of my machine and returned the replacement machine unopened.
NO FOLLOW up to inquire as to the reason for my returning the replacement machine. If this is a reflection of corporate philosophy, then you would be well advised to say so and not mislead the consumer who keeps you in business!

Fair to Midlin'

Not too impressed with my replacement printer. Regret not having purchased a different model. And am tempted to contact your customer service to find out if this is an option. There are frequent blank pages that spit out in while printing a multi-page document, so I always have to go through the print job and pull out the blank sheets and put them back in the paper tray. And I print a number of full page full color best flyers and they are very dark and the details are never clear. Will definitely not be recommending this printer.
Ugh...

Great printer but so far...........

Not sure I am qualified to write a fair review. Our first MFC-J6920DW printer only lasted for 6 weeks. The final failure was it did not recognize the paper drawer was installed....printed 2 pages then said the paper drawer was not installed. During this printer's lifetime we had to re-install the wireless setup as it stopped talking to our Windows7 PC. The download is a huge >128Meg file!! We have every generation of Windows from XP up to Windows 8. The replacement was painless, if you can live without a printer for 6 days. They shipped in the replacement: we packed up the dead one and took it to UPS prepaid.
