May take a few thinking the start of it, but once it is done, it does a FANTASTIC JOB. Fast to copy from sleep status and no problems at all with the wi-fi.

Upgrade to MFC

I purchased this machine to replace an HP that had given me troubles its entire life. I am please with the print quality and will likely only print a few pictures, so photo quality is not critical. It was easy but time consuming to set up on each computer in network. I like that the ink is rated for 600 pages, much more than previous printer. There is a noticeable time lag when sending documents to the printer and I am not sure if this is a printer problem or part of the wireless connectivity. I use this for a home office and personal use. I would like to see more options for scanning program.

Good with one exception

I got this printer to replace a MFC J6710DW that was still going strong. I got the new one because I like the appearance better, and the smaller footprint. The MFC J6920DW works every well for all aspects, with one exception. The manual feed for envelopes, photo paper, etc., does not grasp the paper well at all. It takes two or three tries to get the machine to feed the paper every time. My old one did not have this issue at all. But, aside from this, the appearance, speed, footprint, print quality are all as advertised and much appreciated.

One of the features that help me decide to buy this printer was its capability to print up to 11x17. I have owned it for 5 weeks now, and I have been very pleased with it so far. It does good quality text and pictures.

Works great, the only complaint is it takes a few moments to do many things like if you want to scan then copy, there is a delay. I end up standing at printer waiting for it finish the last scan or copy before I can scan or copy another sheet.

Great printer with a lot of features. There are a few glitches I haven't figured out yet: how to print B&W when using the printer control panel and cannot select "Draft" quality mode. Not sure if this is a MAC issue or a Brother's issue since 3rd party software is used. Brother Customer Service has been helping me with this and they are great to work with. Also make sure your paper is in the trays correctly or it will pickup more than one page. The two head "One Pass" scanner is great. Scanning is quick. Color is great. Cartridge costs seem to be more reasonable than other printer manufacturers. This is my 1st Brother and so far it's a great choice.

Poor Choice for Mac

I have had nothing but problems with this printer connecting to my Mac since the day I bought it. I have spent HOURS on the phone to support, both from Apple and Brother, with very limited success. Brother finally told me to stop trying to use the WiFi connection, and just plug it in to my laptop. Gee, that's convenient. To use WiFi, and have to reset the firmware in the printer about 3 times a day.
