unexpected short lifespan

First, we've been happy with the microwave for a year and a half until this week when the unit stays on and will not turn off. As a result we have to leave the door open or unplug the unit until we use it. If we shut the door, it starts to run and cook, continually, until we open the door or unplug it.
You can imagine the frustration when there is no error code and nothing seems to work just several months after the 1 year warranty was complete.
This makes me disappointed at the increasingly inferior and problematic cheapness of mainstay kitchen appliances that cost more and more.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave looks great in our kitchen, matches or other Samsung appliances and is high powered and fast. Great preset features. Cooks fast. Looks sharp.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, preset cooking options

A stainless Steel product with a HOLLOW PLASTIC HANDLE? The rest of the quality is great but the plastic handle is awful. My handle broke off after a minimal use of just 6 months.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: cheap handle

Just remodeled kitchen, we bought this samsung because it looked good at the store. less then 2 months later the door entire handle broke off in my hands!!! how is that even possible? cheap plastic parts. do not buy this

The handle is made of cheap plastic and broke off in my hand after only 7 months of use. Most Samsung products are great, but I will not be purchasing another microwave from them in the future. What a piece of junk.
