What's great about it: Price, Looks, Quality
What's not so great: Stand
I was after a new Samsung LED or Panasonic plasma system and originally looking for a 47". I saw the 46" Sony Google TV on display and really liked the Gorilla Glass look and the Google TV built in. After talking to sales person they showed me the 55" with Gorilla Glass and also told me that it had Google TV built in, this was false information and at first I was upset after I had it setup at home and found out it didn't have it. But after using this TV It really grew on me and the picture is great along with the 3D capabilities. The monolithic look of the glass is really nice when tv is off because it is just one big piece of black glass with no bezel, very cool looking. I went back to look at other TV's with the though I may find a better deal or picture quality for the money but decided in the end to just keep what I had.
I marked 4 stars because the stand it comes with feels very weak and wobbly but probably somewhat expected with the size of the system mounted to a 1.5" pole. This is not an issues just a observation and has nothing to do with the quality of the TV but you would think more thought would have gone into the design?

What's great about it: Stylish, well priced, outstanding picture
This LED will quickly be off the market for good as the new models come out, and I hope the new model is as good as this one.
I did a ton of research before selecting this LED. Several reviews ranked this model Sony nearly equal to the top of the line Sony XBR models that are nearly 2x to 3x cost. Specifically I read this full review here:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/tv-reviews/sony-kdl-55nx720-review/
The TV is gorgeous on or off. This model has the monolithic design with the durable Gorilla Glass. Which basically means you can't actually touch the bezel on the outside, as the entire front of the TV is one piece of glass with the bezel built behind the glass. This creates a very sleek look.
Something to never forget with any TV, is proper setup. I used the exact settings from the review link above. I used the Custom video setup and changed the contrast down to 85 which looks amazing.
I haven't used the 3D and probably won't so i will not review that portion.
If you can find this TV at the end of the model year (right now) you can save a lot of money and get a amazing LED.

What's great about it: Picture
What's not so great: Audio
This TV has a fantastic picture and also some great options for use with the internet. The colors are vibrant and using a Blu Ray player with this set will make you feel like you are part of the picture. The only down side to the TV is the audio. I have this wall mounted and with the speakers in the back the audio is not always as good as you would like. If you have this TV I definitely recommend connecting it to a external speakers (some type of home theater system)

What's great about it: Colors look nice
What's not so great: Off angle viewing,3D
This T.V. has a really great picture if you sit directly in front of it. I have a living room where this is not possible. Off angle viewing just one couch cushion over turns the picture a little gray and washed out. The 3D is really not good either with lots of ghosting on movies and games. The sound is ok but needs some tweaking out of the box to make that possible.

What's great about it: Easy to use, Great picture, Fun applications
What's not so great: Sensor location.
This TV was to replace our ancient Sony TV that had been gradually dying. After a ton of research my DH and I settled on this TV. Fantastic choice! This TV has great visual quality and great features. We have netflix and love being able to easily connect to Netflix and watch movies within seconds. I love the auto turnoff feature when the TV doesn't detect anyone in the room for so long. Many times are TV is turned on and people leave the room. Now I don't have to worry about it being on for an hour or so without anyone watcing.
The 3D abilities are pretty cool with the smart 3D glasses. Right now the only thing I would change is where the sensor is on the TV. We have our sound bar right in front of the TV and the sensor gets blocked.

What's great about it: Netflix/ Pandora/ Blue Ray/Crystal Clear Picture
What's not so great: Haven't found anything.
I was replacing a 15 yr old TV...so I wasn't that hard to impress me.
Best Buy was offering a great deal on surround sound speakers/TV/ Blue Ray package , after Thanksgiving. Once it was hooked up, I was in shock...it was the most vivid and beautiful picture I had ever seen!
Surround sound is awesome and Blue Ray/Pandora/ Netflix features are so wonderful. I can't live without this TV! Dont hesitate, buy one!

What's great about it: Most everything
What's not so great: Stand mount
The picture quality is great, the sound is surprisingly good (especially considering how thin the TV is), the Bravia Sync feature works wonderfully, and the TV is also very attractive. However, there are a couple of things that make it unsuitable for setting on a stand rather than wall mounting. First, the stand that the TV comes with is horrible. The TV wobbles and weaves if you blow on it. I can't understand why Sony couldn't make a better stand considering how thin and light the TV is for its size. I imagine it is to persuade people to wall mount it. The second problem with mounting it on a stand comes from the fact that all of the sensors are located at the bottom of the TV. I have a small surround system and the center channel speaker is not much more than couple of inches tall, but it blocks all of the sensors (except the remote luckily, which has its sensor far to the left side) on the front of the TV. This means that the center speaker needs to be moved to the floor or behind the TV in order to watch a 3D movie (due to the glasses syncing) and the child detection sensor doesn't work sometimes.

What's great about it: Picture Quality and added features
What's not so great: Stability of screen
Our family absolutely loves this tv. My only recommendation would be for Sony to include items that help to stabilize the television a bit more for added security. Every day we learn about a new feature on the television and the quality is wonderful.

What's great about it: Great picture
What's not so great: Doesn't come with 3D glasses
The 55" LED has a great picture, easy to follow menu system, easy to setup for the first time. I would like more documentation on some of the features but with the on-screen help system, it isn't too hard to find answers, enough to begin working with the feature, like the network.

What's great about it: SLEEK LOOKING,
What's not so great: Having to have it calibrated
Let me first say Best Buy is my #1 electronic store, buy all my electronic toys through BB. Can't beat there zero financing program.
Now to the Sony TV, when I first brought this TV home and set it up I was about to take it back the next day. Was not happy at all, but before i took it back I went out to BB to talk to somebody about my issues. TV had great picture but it was cloudy, foggy, hazy, only way I can explain it. They recommended it be calibrated. Couldn't swallow the fact that I had to spend more money, but had it done. Let me tell you, what a difference.
I found as I was waiting to have the TV calibrated (3 weeks) that I turned back light lite up (MAX) and turned the brightness down (45) made a big difference. also put sharpness to about (4) . had TV for about 3 months now and I'm glad I didn't take it back. Took a little while to fall in love with, but I love my Sony TVs and i didn't want a Samsung, not that there bad TVs.
The gorilla glass looks awesome. Looks good even turn off. Awesome TV and Best Buy was great to work with !!!!!!

What's great about it: Easy set up, great picture
What's not so great: How to manual is on TV
We finally upgraded to a flat screen. Consumer reports recommended the Sony Bravia. Love the TV! Things I don't like: I haven't used the 3D aspect and didn't really want it, but store didn't carry the size I wanted without the 3D. I don't like having the "how to" manual on the TV vs paper. I like having the steps in front of me to follow vs trying to remember what I read on the screen.

What's not so great: So far, nothing.
TV has terrific clarity, color, and features...love the internet capability and ability to connect so easily to our gaming systems. Also, the gorilla glass was a strong selling feature.

What's great about it: Accurate picture, razor thin, built-in WiFi
What's not so great: nothing
Picked up this TV set yesterday. Upgrading from a 40" Sony Bravia LCD. First off, the LED technology is incredible. HD looks brighter, sharper, and clearer. Watching sports and movies is awesome, smoothes out the frames. Was torn between this TV and Samsung's 55" LED. Glad I chose Sony. After optimizing the picture settings, it is unmatched. Sound is good for TV speakers, but who uses that anymore? Surround sound system will take care of that. Built-in WiFi is a bonus as it connects to all sorts of external sources like Amazon, Hulu Plus, Netflix, etc. Easy to setup and also energy efficient. Front glass has no bezel and when the TV is turned off, it looks like a piece of art. Solid black glass. LOVE IT. Didn't care too much for the 3D feature, but it produces an amazing 2D picture. Without a doubt, never doubt a Sony TV.

What's great about it: Picture, Design, Value
What's not so great: Sound, Internet is Slow...
To start I read customer reviews before I buy anything so I going to try my best for future buyers. (spell check on)
TV: The design is really awesome. I mounted it on my wall and when its off it looks completely black...but sleek, its nice. It is also very thin. Has I think about 4-5 HDMI componets, and best part is it has a plug-in for the video/audio cables, which for easy connection.
Picture: The specs are what they are and I'm not a tech geek so I'm not gonna say if they work or not...But the Picture is legit...sports/ufc/gaming in HD is clean.
Internet: Has internet but its super slow...has apps but don't really use them, since I didn't buy the TV for its internet capabilities.
3D: Have not tried 3D...sorry
Sound: The sounds seems to peek at 30-40 even though you have it on max it sounds just the same. A surround sound system is a must.
Easy set up, simple remote control, I'd most def recommend mounting. TV is legit and would most ref commend!
Side Note: The last tv I had was a 42 in' so I thought a 55in' would be huge...don't get me wrong it is big but in realty it was not as big I was expecting it to be.

What's great about it: Easy to use, easy set-up, stunning looks (both on and off)
Originally, I purchased a 60" Samsung 6000 series, from Best Buy, to replace a 1 year old Sony XBR 46" in my family room. I was impressed by the picture of the Samsung, however, after about an hour of watching I noticed the picture would flicker, or shudder. It continued to do this about 3-4 times a minute. With such a great picture it had now become a distraction. I contacted Samsung and their response was it needed a firmware update. Without getting into detail, I ultimately ended up returning the Samsung and began my search for another Sony. Already having a Sony XBR I was hard pressed to buy another, but at that price point I couldn't justify the purchase with the wife. I researched the Sony website and found the NX720 to have everything I was looking for at a more attainable price. Best Buy had a 55" and 60" on display...I ended up purchasing the 55". To say the least, I am very happy with my Sony Tv's. I currently have them both connected to Pioneer receivers for a much wider and intense sound stage. It makes the overall viewing experience that much more enjoyable. The Corning Gorilla glass is an added plus and makes for a stunning TV even when it's turned off. Although my NX720 is not an XBR, the picture detail is still up to par. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking to purchase a Sony.
