Almost Perfect
on November 23, 2013

This tablet is almost perfect. The hardware design is second to none. The ergonomics are amazing. The tablet is fast and responsive, and just a joy to hold. With that said the proprietary launch that is put on the OS is a joke. Also including Norton as software that you can't uninstall is pathetic. I should have the option to uninstall a pice of software with out having to root the device. I should also have the option of using stock Android or the included launcher. I did buy this tablet based on the hardware and not the included software. I would have also liked to have seen a flash on the camera, but I really don't take photos with my tablet anyways so that I can forgive, but I can't forgive the software.
Pros: Battery, Input/Output compatibility, Weight, Processor, Durability, Memory, Bluetooth, Wireless card, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size, Build Quality, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: Included Software

Sleek but fragile

Yoga is so thin and smooth that without the edge and fold out stand it would be difficult to hold for long periods. Battery life is great, hours of watching Netflix and reading books before recharging (which does seem slow but no problem overnight).
Not sure how it happened but my screen now has a hairline crack. Must have been from stress in my computer bag. Careful how you carry this in overpacked bags.
Still, overall it's a great value and I'd buy another one.

user manual
on November 3, 2013

bought the new Yoga Tablet 10 from Amazon. There is NO user manual included in the package. The Lenovo Website lists many manuals but I don't know which one applies to the Tablet I bought. Please provide a hyperlink. Thank you
I cannot offer a yes recommendation if I am not able to use the Tablet. A User Manual is needed.
Cons: no user manual

Amazing tablet
on November 4, 2013

I have a few different tablets and I have to say, simply the battery+gps+built-in stand make this product unique and amazing. It's not the highest screen resolution but still perfect for reading comic books. I was awaiting such an 8" device for a while, finding the Nexus 7 (2013) screen too small for me. I was tempted by the Yoga 10 but because the specs are nearly identical, I ended up going with the 8". Having had (and returned) a Lenovo S6000 prior, I'm glad I decided to wait for this device which doesn't feel cheap like the S6000, thanks to it's aluminum brush finish. Let's hope it will do well on the long run, and although Android 4.2 is sufficient for all my needs, let's also hope Lenovo will make an update to Kit-Kat available soon. "Con": won't be easy to find a generic case/cover.
Pros: Battery, Input/Output compatibility, Weight, Screen size, Build Quality, Display performance, price
Cons: Support, Keyboard/peripherals

Love the Kickstand!
on November 12, 2013

I love this tablet. The battery life is awesome. The kickstand solves one of the issues I've had with tablets since they launched. Being able to stand it up and watch a movie is so easy. It's also very easy to hold and the weight balance makes it feel very light. It does come with a manual, not sure what happened to the guy that said there was no manual. Although I've owned 20+ tablets and have NEVER cracked open a manual. The screen and performance is great for everyday use!
Pros: Battery, Weight, Screen size, Display performance

Perfect tablet

Can't beat this tablet. Easy to hold, fabulous battery life, features. It has everything you could want in a small package. Kickstand is great for movie watching. MicroSD slot is a plus. The only thing that could use improving is the manual. The only way to discover all the features is to play with it. Can't wait for the slipcases to be released.
Pros: Battery, Screen size, Build Quality, Display performance
Cons: poor manual

Great design, but falls short in other areas.

Form, stand, speakers, and battery are great. But Lenovo slaughtered the Android with their own customization of it - taking out some key features enough that even a couple of apps say they are incompatible with this device (!). Text looks decently ok but the colors are faded on streamed movies - resolution too low. Only 1 gig of RAM causes screen to be jerky at times, too. Sorry, for the price I can't recommend.
Pros: Battery, Weight, Build Quality
Cons: Display resolution, Memory, Included Software, Software compatibility
