Does much more than just pop popcorn!!

I never used a microwave for more than heating coffee or popcorn. I actually cook with this one. My two favorite features are the sensor cook and the extend-a-vent. The sensor popcorn is not the best, but all you need do is use cook time: 2 min, and it comes out perfect. I use the soften feature often as I make my own bread, cookies, etc. It looks great above my LG gas range.

Good venting, but loud

This microwave/hood combo is worth the price, but it is loud. The low setting on the vent is actually irritating to hear. Also, I would prefer brighter lights inside the microwave as well as for task lighting for the range. Not sure if it's safe to install higher wattage bulbs, so I am staying with what came with the unit. Overall, I am satisfied with the way it functions and with tweaking the loudness and lighting, LG would make this be completely perfect.

I like this microwave so much! It has great pre-sets for the things we use it most for. It has sensor reheat and cook so I don't over-cook anything. I use it a lot for steaming veggies in the bag, and there is a preset for that. I thought there was something wrong with the turn-table motor as it was really noisy one day, but it turned out there were some crumbs under it, and a good cleaning fixed it right up. The exhaust fan is good, although venting exterior would always be better. I love that the vent can be extended out over my front burners where my big burners are for frying and boiling pasta... the things I most often use the fan for.

Works great, Looks good, Love the extenda vent!
It is so nice that the steam stays off the front of the microwave with the extending vent option. Best idea ever.

Horrible product, short life

I bought this unit and 14 months later (out of warranty) it decides to just stop working. The service call it $165 plus parts. I can buy a new unit for that kind of money. Won't buy an LG product again, very disappointed.

Poor Extenda vent and push buttons. poor clock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the extenda vent has broken twice. once under warranty and now broken again. bad design. buttons don't work. clock doesn't work. the numeric screen is on sometimes, off others. do not buy this microwave!!

QUIT WORKING AFTER 18 MONTHS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 18 months the microwave stopped heating. Not happy at all with LG appliances. Last microwave we had which was NOT LG lasted 8 years. Very upset that we now have to purchase a new microwave. By the time you spend the money to fix it, its cheaper to buy a new one. For what we paid for this it definitely should have not quit after only 18 months!!

However, although the unit vents to the outside and I have changed the grease filter. It drips grease. And I replaced the grease filter last August!
