Nice little phone if you aren't in to the "phablet"

I have this as a work phone. I also own a S3 so using this phone is very easy. Like all phones from the Galaxy series, this one is amazing. A nice little upgrade from the S3 although I prefer the larger screen. For some the "mini" could be too small. But if you don't want to carry around a phone that is the size of a tablet (Note 3 etc.) then this is for you.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Love all of the features the mini has to offer. Wish it was the newest android os, which is kit-kat; but overall phone is awesome. Not very durable, had phone for only 2week and my 6 yr old accidentally dropped it and the screen cracked.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: not very durable at all

I really do LOVE my mini S4, that is why I am able to overlook the periodic freezing and the more common over heating of the battery, to the point that it becomes almost too hot to hold.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: battery

I did have to get two replacementseparate a few months ago due to over heating and other issues but since then it has worked well although it still freezes up once in a while.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

Not what I expected

The phone size is great as well as the price. Nice bright screen and decent speaker. However after just a little over two months of having the phone, it kept running hot. The battery would be so hot that I would literally have to take it out and let it stand for 30 minutes or longer. The battery would run hot even if there were no apps open. I can only use my location app for a few minutes or else my battery will start to run low. I also hate the fact that you can't hang up your second line when a call comes in unless you hang up the line you are on as well. And the phone doesn't always do that ring back. But the apps are great and once I got use to the phone and got the battery problem fixed, the phone was great.

Cons: battery life is short, can't hang up second line without ending both call
