Great Microwave

After getting use to the different controls, it works wonderfully. Excellent exhaust system. Generally use the "30 seconds" feature, but others work very well, especially the defrost.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GEe I Love this Microwave!

Purchased this microwave after reading reviews in CR. After installation the first thing we noticed is how quiet it was compared to the last one. Nice features and the dial is so simple to learn to use. The defrost setting works really well too. Also has a large turntable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great features easy to use

We replaced another GE microwave just to get Stainless Steel, remodeling Kitchen. We had no problems with our old microwave so we went with GE again.

This appliance is beautiful and so easy to use. Lots of room inside of microwave and can turn rotary dish off when needed and is very quiet.

Large capacity and lots of setting options

The dial in setting options make it simple to cook in this microwave. I really like the choice of cooking by food type. I was kind of skeptical about the dial, but have found it a really convenient feature. I like the large capacity and the two level rack placements to handle the bigger dishes.

Great microwave, poor installation instructions

The microwave itself is great. However, I found the installation instructions to be a disappointment. If the installation instructions were better, I would have easily rated the unit one or two stars better.
I followed the under cabinet template exactly, but as others have reported, found the two holes for the mounting screws to be around 3/8" further back than needed by the unit itself. I had to enlarge them both to compensate. Though, possibly, the required filter strip might need to have holes larger than 1/2" (3/4"?) to allow the screws to be initially at an angle?
The instructions for rotating the blower state, and show, that there is only one screw that needs to be removed. On my unit, there are actually three screws that are needed to be removed on the blower.
For installing the charcoal filter, the illustration shows two tabs in front. My unit had only one tab.
Those are just a few of the sloppy mistakes I tripped over in the installation instructions, and made my installation more time consuming than it should.
Getting away from the installation instructions, I found the usage hint by the GE rep here, of using the "add 30 sec" button and then knob to adjust the actual time, a great time saver for quick heating!!! That hint should get added to the User Manual.

Horrible engineering!!!!!!!!

Do not buy!!!!! Bought one month ago and was melting butter last week- lid of container popped off and butter splattered all over interior. You cannot clean interior door window because of mesh screen. Butter is hardened and micro looks filthy from exterior. He solution is buy a new door after each spill!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
