The GE microwave we put in our house 15 years ago was a workhorse. We retired it because it was slowly losing its efficiency. I researched for days for the best microwave. We decided to go with GE again. This model has more features then I can ever use, but my husband has a new toy. We have had the microwave for about 9 months. No problems. I am as impressed as I thought I would be.

Finishing touch.....

Bought all new appliances for out kitchen and this microwave was the finishing touch, It sits eye level over our new GE range and is the first thing in the kitchen you eye is attracted too. Could not be happier with all our new GE appliance.

Great microwave BUT

Cannot put in time less than quarter minute (e.g. 15 secs, 30, 45, 1, 1.25 etc) if you want an odd number. E.G: 1 min 50 secs dial 2 mins start and then turn dial back to the time you want. Kind of messy and doesn't make sense in a microwave, to me. However, it's quiet and even with the fan on I can hear the radio that's in the next room.

Purchased this microwave in Nov 2014 for our new home. It is very attractive and looks great with my other GE Profile appliances. Once I became accustomed to the way it works I have come to really like it very much.
