I bought these for my child and he loves them, he told me, "they sound so real!," and, "they are way better than headphones!"
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad tinny sound
on August 7, 2015

I bought these because my Sony mdr e10s were old and I figured since those earphones were great that these would be the same or better. Well they ended up sounding horrible with a tiinny piercing sound. I was disappointed especially since the other sony earphones I.bought years before for the same price were so good and.lasted a couple years

CHEAP SOUND
on August 25, 2015
Posted by: zoid
The label on the package reads ”CLEAR SOUND“ i guess thats SONYs marketing wording for ”Who needs bassguitars and kickdrums?!“.
I discarded them because of the lacking bass. They are unusable. Hopefully SONY will produce something like the MDR E10 sometime again.

This ear headphones works fine in my collection of Mozart's music.
However, the human voice seems disappear when listening to modern pop-music.

Hi chhsiao1981,
We truly appreciate your feedback about the MDR-E9LP in-ear headphones.

The MDR-E9LP is an entry-level model characterized by a subdued low-frequency (bass) and mid-range response. This spectral profile results in a perception of thinness or recession in vocals and fundamental instrument frequencies, which may be particularly noticeable in genres like pop where vocal clarity is a critical design objective.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in equalizer or tuning option on the headphones itself to boost the vocal range.

If you are listening through a device or app with an equalizer, try increasing the midrange or using a "Vocal" or "Speech" preset to help bring out the human voice.

Hopefully, that clears things up.

We appreciate you giving Sony a chance with this product.
Sincerely,
Estefany
