Microwave Stopped heating

This microwave was great but it eventually died after 5 years. It was a tank when it lasted. The Stainless Steel microwave just stopped heating. I would love if GE would let me know a similar size model that I could replace. I do have the trim kit for this microwave and would like to know if I could still use it for similar GE microwaves.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'd give it zero stars if I could. This "Profile" line seems to be notoriously bad for it's magnatrons going out. Can't just replace the magnatron since the interior shell is scorched. There is absolutely NO stainless steel replacement and can't match my other GE Profile ss appliances. Really poor product planning on GE's part. There should be a complete recall on this unit. Looks like a lot of these were sold to builders but according to the posts here, they don't last very long. Angry it's out, and even angrier I can't replace it to match what I currently have.

Replacement Disappointment

Based solely on this microwave's appearance, which replaced an older model, I would not recommend GE to anyone. I am so disappointed with the look and fit compared to our previous model. The new trim kit is such poor quality in comparison. It is constructed of plastic and very flimsy and also protrudes past our old model oven (which matched our old microwave). It has large gaps around the face instead of being beveled and streamlined like the previous trim kit. Also, the big round GE logo on the new microwave is gaudy and distasteful. Even the control pad isn't as well made. It seems that a brand new GE Profile microwave and trim kit should be better than it's 14 year-old version!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door stuck shut

The door of this microwave did not seem to be shutting correctly from the start. Then two days after I had it installed (as a wall unit with trim kit), the door also became difficult to open, and then became completely stuck shut. I actually had to pry the door open. After forcefully opening and closing the door several times it seemed to fix itself, but still frequently doesn't shut correctly and the upper right corner needs to be pushed in manually. I had the installer out to look at it, and he said this is a very common complaint with this particular microwave. When I was shopping for microwaves I had read other reviews about this microwave describing the same problem, but unfortunately I still chose this one because of GE's reputation for quality and reliability. Very disappointed in this product.

I bought a unit in late December of 2015, and a about five weeks ago, the microwave started making a loud buzzing sound and stopped heating. I took it back to the authorized dealer in Nassau Bahamas, only to hear that my six months warrenty was up and the cost of repairs would be more than the initial cost of the product. I love the GE products, my stove, washer and refrigerator are all GE products, but this latest incident with my microwave, has me reconsidering if my future appliance purchases will be GE products or not.

GE appliances came with new home. Microwave lasted less than two years. No other microwave fits with trim kit. If I have to buy a new trim kit, I may as well try a different brand. GE has greatly disappointed.

This microwave came with my house. I have to say, we liked it. After about a year and a half it started making a load buzzing sound and heave sparking behind a metal plate in the oven. Remind me of a horror movie. See picture

Broke & Difficult to Fix

I’m looking at other reviews for this microwave and they aren’t good....this thing breaks too easily & is a piece of junk for the high price...I don’t understand how such an expensive unit could be so faulty.
