Intermittently will not heat food

Have this built in microwave as part of a new construction home. The microwave intermittently will not heat food. Will run for 10 minutes and the microwave exterior gets hot but food is still ice cold. This has happened about 6-7 times the past 2 months. Microwave is only 9 months old. Should not have these problems on a new product. Highly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This micro-wave has everything we want, especially the express buttons and add 30 seconds. It also looks great above the new oven.

A Good Replacement

We had a very similar GE microwave for a little more than 10 years and then it abruptly stopped- sudden death. This new oven fits the space (and mounting rack for "built-in" appearance) perfectly. It seems less reliable in cooking my favorite frozen breakfast sandwhiches, but does a great job w/vegetables. We don't reheat much but when we have it seemed skilled.

I am a loyal GE customer, yet the quality of this replacement microwave and the rigors of securing the correct item to fit in the "built" in space was extremely frustrating. The cost associated with the trim kit, since GE tweeked the measurements by 1/8inch within the last 5 years made this a very costly replacement!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
