Cool color & design, but not the best

I purchased this microwave to replace a GE profile we had for years. Unfortunately, there is a cheap cardboard cover thing inside that keeps popping off, and the potatoe function doesn't work well at all. The new slate color & design are very nice, but I'm disappointed w/ the performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just finish building a new home and installed all GE appliances. Slate finish provides a great look in the new kitchen. Countertop microwave maximizes use of cooking area.

I bought this several months ago to replace another GE Profile Microwave. The old one had issues with the door not closing properly thus not allowing the oven to run. This new one is so much better. The door practically closes by blowing on it and it starts ever time. It has some great quick start features that make using it a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far the product performs as expected. My only heartache with the product was the cost due to it being an in-cabinet unit which drove the price up exponentially.

Nice microwave, but lacks some convenience

Pluses of this microwave: Good power, looks nice, has trim kit, express buttons are very nice (only 1 button to press for 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.)
Negatives: Lots of buttons to press to change the power level (you have to press cooking time and then power level). It would be nice to be able to adjust the power level and use the express cooking buttons.
Also, I really miss having express buttons for softening and melting butter.
