Versatile Microwave

We chose this microwave because of it's size, wattage, and price point. The trim kit to convert this to an in the wall microwave was figured into the price while we were looking. Note that most photos of the trim kit only include the front panel, not the pan and anti tip bracket that is needed for the conversion. So when you see the photo you get the impression that you are paying a lot for the trim kit just for the front piece. We had a GE microwave/oven combo for 25 years before it gave up the ghost. While I like GE I really did a lot of searching and reading before going back to them. This is a very spacious microwave and has the higher wattage that I wanted. We use this everyday for something or other and we have been very happy with everything we have used it for. I only have one negative comment. I am a bit hard of hearing and the beep when done is not as loud as I would like, I really wish I could increase the volume. This is definitely a great buy.

GE Profile Microwave

The GE Profile that I had prior to this one had a much easier to read numerical pad, the stainless steel on this one shows finger prints. But the most disappointing feature.... the older Profile's timer beeped until you turned it off. The new one beeps once. It functions perfectly as a microwave. Why do they have to change great features?

It never stopped giving me error messages. Finally it stopped to heat after less than 2 years of service

GE Profile Series Microwave Oven

We bought this product for our new home. It is acceptable in its performance. However, we moved into our new home in Dec 2015. We have already had the door replaced because of condensation inside the glass door. Now, the new door binds against the trim-work. The rating would be higher except for the condensation, the binding of the new door on the trim-work and the fact that it does not have a self. We found that a second shelf can be very useful in a microwave. oven.

Absolutely Perfect!!!!!

I bought this Microwave to replace my GE Profile Microwave /Convection unit which died on 12/25/2013. Yes, I went without a Microwave for 2 years. I decided I didn't need the Convection option as my Oven has that option and I needed a microwave to fit into a existing space which was cut out in my kitchen cabinets. This worked perfectly and looks as if it was the original unit. Had to make minor cabinet adjustments however I was able to accomplish on my own & complete the entire installation.

I bought my first GE microwave November brand new. The day after Thanksgiving it began burning. I replaced that one and decided to put in my old plastic panel cover instead of using the one it came with. Not sure what the material is. Th iu s one works like a charm.

Mother board and magnetron both dead after 5 months....and going bad from day one. Was under warranty so able to get fixed fro free

This is a very plain and simple microwave. It is functional and I bought it mainly because it was black and GE. My wife said it had to be black. It works but not as well as my previous GE.
