Love the slate collection!

Outstanding color

This is a very functional product with a slate color. The trim on the microwave really makes it look like it is built into the cabinet

First Look.

First look, Great! Than when you use at night it is hard to see buttons, START! Also when the Mic first starts, it starts out on high, then self adjust to what is inside, it makes you almost feel the machine is broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Unit but Door Closes Poorly

I purchased this unit to replace an older MicroWave but the door closure is very difficult to latch. Much easier if there was a handle option

Clean looks - the key pad looks great and is easy to operate The microwave defrosts very evenly ...so much better than our old micro. So far a great product!

Attractive as a "built-In" with oven

Purchased this model originally about 2 years ago. It stopped working after 2 weeks and had to be repaired (replaced "mag tube"). Two years later "mag tube" stopped heating food again and possible problem with control panel. Purchased same model new at this time since it needed to fit with existing trim kit and opening. I am confident it will give us longer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first microwave was loud, so GE checked and replaced it promptly. The new one is nice.

Needs improvement

The door on this unit does not close well. I just replaced an 8 year old Profile microwave and compared to that one, this one is not built nearly as well. Of course I had to spend an additional money for another trim kit because they are not interchangeable. Also, be warned that if you have existing Profile appliances, the plastic inlays will not match. For some reason GE changed the color to gray and all my other appliances are a sleek black.
I would recommend this to a friend!
