Stopped working at 2 years

Microwave was good for 2 years then 1 day it made a buzzing noise and stopped heating up food. Probably cost more to fix it then buy a new one. Warranty is only for 1 year.

This microwave repairs have costed me more than the unit itself, and finally it failed, with no option to fix it, which includes the trim. This is absolutely ridiculous. Since this is the second time replacing this unit since i purchased this home

Caught on fire

Started sparking and caught on fore this morning. Not too impressive since I've never seen ot happen. Luckily we caught it and I could just blow it out. Kitchen remodeled about 2 years ago guessing it's about that old.

Dangerous & Hassle!

Caught fire! The microwave exploded and caught fire- so glad we were home to make sure it was extinguished. I need a replacement and there is no finish to match the built in- what a hazard & hassle now that we can’t find a similar product! Disappointed bc I don’t know if I trust GE products moving forward.

Great Built In Microwave

Overall, microwave is great. But the built-in frame kit is not as nice as the GE one I had to replace. The old kit had a much better stainless steel look than the new one, so that is disappointing. 2 more suggestions - 1) plug should be on a 90 degree
elbow, not straight in. My standard kitchen cabinet did not have enough space for me to plug it straight in and then install the microwave because of the existing location of my electric plug and 2) the GE logo should be made more prettier, more subtle, and /or positioned in a better place. My wide dislikes the look of the logo in our kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought and I am happy that I did. The unit is installed below the counter top and one very poor design flaw is the cover plate that goes over/around the unit. It looks bulky and not very sleek at all. It needs to be vastly improved.

Bought this microwave February 2017 to match our other GE profile appliances in slate. We moved into our home March 2017. Microwave stopped working this February but was a week past our purchase date and of course not covered under warranty anymore. Now I see this model has been discontinued. Wonder why, reviews are horrible. My contractor had to cut behind wall to get it to fit. Now what do I do??? This was obviously discontinued for a reason?!?!

Unhappy and beyond frustrated with this microwave

Microwave was purchased in 2016. In 2018, microwave stopped work and required repair for a sensor issue. Repairman said this is a known issue with this model. Now 2020, the microwave stopped working again and requires yet another repair. This is for a microwave to not last for more than 4 years.
