Bought this microwave & the accompanying trim kit to replace the old microwave that burned up. Old trim kit wouldn't fit new GE model so had to purchase new kit. Microwave worked for less than a month. Ordered a replacement and it's working fine. Not sure if I got a dud the first time but hoping this second one will last a long time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased all of the Profile appliances for our new home - microwave is very good at heating leftovers, frozen foods, popping popcorn, etc. Very nice product.
