This is the second GE profile micro wave that we have had. The first one gave us 12 years of service before it started to fail. We gave it away and bought the new one and were very happy to get almost the same model with only slight chages to the programng..

old ge profile microwave lasted 15 years. This one lasted only 2 1/2 years before the magnatron and diode went out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the look, but went out too soon

I bought this microwave and it went out when it was 3 years old. Too old for manufacturers warranty, but not so old that it should have gone out!

Great style

Love the stainless look. Was disappointed to find out it wasn't stainless steel. Magnets don't stick to it. I love the simple controls. The only problem is the door will not latch unless you shut it pretty hard. You had to shut the door very gently on my last GE microwave. Wish you guys could hit that sweet spot. Works well for meals or individual items. Baked potato in a few minutes. Warm up dinner. Heat my coffee. Great.
