Sparks are flying

After reading all the comments I had the same issue with that many other customers had. The microwave sparking and we no longer use because we are afraid of a fire starting. Super disappointed as the microwave fits in perfect. Now to find a new microwave. Super disappointed in the quality of this one.

The microwave sparked, and some smoke showed up with bad smell. Just like other bad review, it looks like a common issue. That is not something I can fix. And it definitely a big safety concern.

Faulty Magnetron -- Requires Replacement.

We had a great run with this microwave but after the magnetron failed we found out that GE no longer makes this replacement part. Very disappointing. Now I need to find a new microwave (and also a new matching stainless steel trim kit) that fits this cabinet. Any help from GE would be greatly appreciated.

Great until it almost caught on fire.

Great, until it was a fire hazard. Luckily we were standing nearby to notice the sparks before it caught on fire. Not sure what to do since other reviews say there is no other stainless model to replace it with.

This is the second GE microwave that has sparked and caught fire- Do not buy! This is so dangerous and should have been recalled! I'm done with GE. Putting people's lives in danger- Shame!

Don't buy - fire hazard

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying. The exact same thing happened to my microwave. It started sparking and almost caught fire. There is obviously a design flaw or other issue that they are ignoring. Way too many reviews say the same thing.

Sparks! Scary. DO NOT BUY!

2016 model randomly started to spark when heating popcorn. After going through the reviews, I see I am not the only one who has this issue. Hope GE fixes it.
