3rd GE Spacesaver we've owned!

This is the 3rd GE Profile under-counter spacesaver microwave we've owned since 1985 and the latest model just keeps getting better. Our first lasted 18 years, our second still works (we just moved to our summer home), and we just installed our third as part of a kitchen remodel. Very intuitive control panel, beautiful design, tucks away unobtrusively under a wall cabinet, and works as expected!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fits cabinet space

I bought this microwave to fit a certain size cabinet when I did a complete kitchen remodel. This is the only microwave that would fit. It took month to get service since it did not work straight out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Takes longer than needed

Bought the undermount micro to utilize more counter space. It's okay. As far as function it takes 1:20 do do a 40 sec job. That's pretty much the biggest flaw.

I purchase this microwave after my old when out; it was a spacesaver microwave that I enjoy use it. What, I love about this spacesaver microwave was, that it was out of my way under my cabinet. It gave me a lot space on my countertop. So went it die on me, I had to go and get another one, so I did. The one, which I purchase, was another spacesaver microwave oven about four month ago. I am very happy with it, It’s a great spacesaver –countertop microwave and plus I have a lot room on my counter top. I like the way it hang under the cabinet out of the way. It cooks great and the color is beautiful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Previous model better, and it wasn't that great

I bought this to replace my less than 5 year old GE profile b/c it is the only mid-capacity microwave that fits my space. The previous model melted inside, so I was hoping to find something else, but couldn't. First impression, not good: first of all, the dimensions given are not correct. Due to the way the cord attaches in back, the depth is about 14 inches. This was a crucial figure for us, so the unit hangs off the shelf. Also, the underneath housing is bright silver and very visible (black and more discreet in the previous model). Don't believe those photos on the website - if you hang it or set it eye level, you will see all the works that have been air-brushed out of the photos. There are fewer features and the light inside isn't as bright. The only feature I have tried is the "beverage" button. After a few minutes, it said there were 4 minutes left. Really? We checked and the water was near boiling. So, I wonder if the sensor works? You can bet I'll be testing this thing out thoroughly.

Great size

I wanted this model to replace a similar model that was 18 years old. It sits in a cabinet. The older model was easier to use. The buttons on this unit are harder to push, and I miss the variable reheat settings that the old model had. I had the old model repaired twice. I like my old one better.

Trouble with door

Bought this strictly based on the size of the cabinet opening the door of the first one delivered had to be opened by using two hands. Now the replacement's door is also acting up. Very cheap quality. Would not recommend.
