Good so far - but not as good as its predecessor!

We bought this microwave 3 months' ago as GE's recommended replacement to a GE model we had for 13 years as part of our new home purchase. We find the new microwave works well, but not as well as the replaced unit. The new model doesn't seem to have the same sensor abilities as the old model - we need to be much more specific about food type & its volume, and then still often need to add time. But if the new model lasts 13 years, like its predecessor, overall we'll be satisfied.

Works well, looks nice

I bought this model to replace our old unit. The other unit lasted 5 or so years - we hope this one will last longer. It is attractive and fits the shelf space, which is why we purchased the GE spacesave again. It fits a 9x13 casserole dish inside, which was also important. So, fits the space, looks nice, has large capacity - all in all, a good purchase. The only downsize is that GE charges much more for this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This one is not as attractive as the last one we had that was the same one but an older model of the same microwave. This one vents from the sides and sticks out of the custom cabinet.
We also had to buy a new trim kit because this one didn't fit in the one from our last microwave. It really made the job quite complicated!
It seems to work good and is quieter that the last.

Just size & feature needed, not very powerful

packaging & features are simple, just as we wanted. would like to have had a more power so wouldn't take so long to cook, but for the size space we had, cold not really find a more powerful unit in stainless. hopefully will last a long time

Good microwave

I am very happy with this microwave. I love all the one-press cook times: 30 sec, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc minutes. I use the timer and set my own cook time too. I don't use any of the programs so no comment about those. I was using a small 25-yr old microwave, and this GE is a pleasure. Tons of power for my needs.

Great for small, awkward cabinet spaces

We recently bought this to replace a previous GE Spacemaker microwave model that died (and was at least 15 years old). Pros - great for the space, super easy and convenient to use, unobnoxious beep when finished. Cons - Lots of wasted space with the turntable in its middle location. I preferred the non-turntable previous version because all of the interior space was easily usable. (Dear GE - offset the turntable and open up more space to the side! Win-win if you do that!) Not as powerful as microwaves a step above in size.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
