Goofy Heat Sensing Feature

Our old GE Space Saver microwave had a feature where you hit "Beverage" and it would hear your cup of water for a minute and a half - just the right amount of time. On this microwave, when you hit "Beverage" it begins a two minute fifteen second cycle to sense what it is cooking followed by a cook-sense-cook-sense cycle that takes eight minutes and fifteen seconds to heat a cup of water. We were so sure that the microwave must be malfunctioning that we had the repair person come out. The repair person assured us that the microwave was functioning as it was designed. How crazy is that?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Price is too high

I bought this as I wanted something simple, however, at this price I would have expected more than 800 watts. It odes its job but I made a mistake with the price.

Fits the space

this is our third GE Profile microwave and the only style that fits the space and matches the kitchen. I'm happy the new model still fits as the size has been changed slightly. It is a hard-to-find size. It looks nice with other appliances.

Panel needs to be back lit, and what about bacon??

For such an expensive Microwave, why is the panel not back lit and why is there no guidance on how to cook bacon...anywhere???? If you memorize the panel because it can't be seen and figure out by trial and error how to cook bacon, you will find this microwave to be a good unit even though pricey. It was the only model that would fit in the space where my old GE microwave went which lasted 20 years.

Dissapointed in replacement model

I have had 3 of the prior GE OEM microwaves and as a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer, I have specified hundreds of this model into my projects. The new GE OEM microwave oven is larger with a smaller turntable and a mediocre appearance. I will not specified this microwave again. I am sorry that you made the change as the other one was perfect to fit into cabinetry and design.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL !!

This is the 3rd microwave (same make, same model) we have had in the 9 years we have lived in our home. They don't last very long and the BRAND NEW one we just received is making a horrible noise from the turntable !!

Better sensor

We purchased this to replace our prior spacesaver model that is no longer available. While it looks and feels a little "cheaper" than our previous model, the food sensor is much better and quite useful. My only complaint is that the auto Beverage function heats/re-heats beverages WAY too hot.
I would recommend this to a friend!
