Poor instructions

Functions fine for simple reheating for a few minutes minutes. Complicated and confusing instructions on how to do anything else. I sorely miss the GE microwave I used happily for 18 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Size

We bought this to fit the space where our old GE Spacemaker went, into a custom built cabinet. The model we had was great, but old and had no turntable and was starting to fail. When we tried to replace it last year we found out that it had been discontinued! Finally this year GE made one to fit the space. This new one seems to have a bit less power, and was fairly expensive, but it's a good microwave. It's very similar to the one it replaced. I must say that for the money, I would prefer a more powerful unit. But it's easy to use, has a nice turntable, and many good preset functions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good microwave.

We bought this during the summer as a part of a total kitchen remodel. Overall we are happy with it. The touchpad controls are not always as responsive as I'd like - need to push a couple of times for it them to work sometimes. We bought the trim kit so it looks like a built-in, and it is very attractive looking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent product

This is the third GE Spacemaker Microwave we've had over the past 10 yrs. The only reason we get these is that it is about the only model that is designed for under cabinet mounting and is the only one that will fit in our kitchen. It works, but doesn't last very long. The first one broke due to faulty door latch, the second lasted 5 yrs and inexplicably quit (printed circuit board failure which evidently is not replaceable). The quality is average, power is average, but adequate for reheating leftovers, boiling water for coffee, etc. The product engineers must stay up nights devoting time to make each successive model just slightly different from the prior one, necessitating drilling new mounting holes in the shelf each time for the mounting brackets. So now the shelf I mount this on looks like a Swiss cheese. And, of course, making sure no parts are available to just replace the old, so you have to toss the whole oven and buy a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to see the panel,should be white letters and numbers. We had one before same size, and could see panel very clearly.Otherwise working good.
