Good size for countertop microwave

Compact, but still has almost the same interior and features as my old built in microwave. The only downside is it only has 800 watts so extra time must be given for cooking. But an extra minute or 2 is not a deal breaker. Still has the same quick cook buttons as my old larger m/w. And it looks nice in my counter!

good but pricey

We did a minor remodel in the kitchen and I removed our existing GE Profile microwave from over our range / stove. It is a thousand Watts and about 3in taller then the replacement. I put the new microwave, this one, in an our pantry. I selected this one because it is significantly shorter, which allowed me to do the install without having to do any shelving adjustments which would have required more than just unscrewing some fasteners i e would have required carpentry work. The good news is the new microwave fits perfectly but the bad news is it's smaller and less powerful. And for a microwave it was expensive. However I knew all of this going in and decided it was the best option for my situation. And I had good luck with my original GE Profile microwave.

This was purchased for a work kitchen and has served its purpose. We only purchased this unit because it was listed as the replacement model for our previous Spacemaker unit.

Just the right size

We upgraded our kitchen. One of the new cabinets was designed to hold a microwave. The cabinet is only slightly wider than a normal disk cabinet that hangs on the wall. The foot print of the GE unit is just right. The microwave also has features we didn't have in our old counter top unit. Very nice microwave.

Bad product

I've been using this microwave for a few months and very unhappy with the quality of this expensive product. It takes longer to heat food compare with my old cheap microwave, and food comes out hot in one part of the plate and cold in another part.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement microwave

I bought this a month or so ago as a replacement for a similar Hotpoint microwave. We liked the other one very much and wanted a replacement that mounted under a cabinet like the last one did. That's why this one. So far we're happy with it. However, because the buttons are so different, it's taking a while to get used to it. Otherwise it's works well for our needs. It is however, over priced. Most microwaves of equal size an wattage, are half the cost.

Sleek Design

Our previous microwave was a GE Spacemaker which was built into our cabinets 22 years ago. It had a nice trim kit to complete the look. We were ecstatic when we found this GE microwave to fit into the same space without having to alter our cabinet. The trim kit which is sold separately also worked perfect to complete the “built in” look once again. We have been very pleased with the selection of our GE Profile appliances which have lasted 22 years in our kitchen. It is time to begin replacing the appliances and we are very pleased GE sells appliances that will fit right back into the spaces of our existing appliances and we love this Slate finish! Thank you GE !!
