I had to purchase another microwave, because my previous GE microwave (5 years old started chipping inside), GE no longer makes the same size model I had purchased for a BUILT IN, so I was forced to buy the updated version. With the previous model, the trim kit fit perfectly snug around the microwave, this one has space on all sides and quite frankly looks horrible. The trim kit does not look good! It seems oversized and bulky around the microwave.This microwave may work for those who just need a stand alone microwave, but if your replacing an older built in version , it will not be the same look. The keypad is so dark, I need several kitchen lights on to read it! Not happy with the purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this microwave

This is the 2nd microwave that we bought in this model. We love the fact that we can turn off the turntable so we can cook with a rectangular or square pan and all the other extra features on it like 30 seconds, etc. Our first one lasted 15 years and was still working great even though one of my kids put something metal in it and it ruined the inside of the top so we felt it was no longer safe to use.

Large microwave in small space!

Excellent for heating up and cooking - utilizes sensing so that there is no overcooking. Love how this is small and fits in built in upper cupboard NOT over my range. People can use the microwave without interfering with the cook. :D Because this isn't over the range, we got to use a decorative tile above the range/below the range hood. Easy to figure out controls, too! Love this microwave!!!

The predrilled holes are screwed up requiring ridiculous measuring. Makes no sense how they were plotted. Thanks

We just installed this two days ago and it looks nice and works well. We installed it hanging under a cabinet. We made our own template for drilling the holes to set the screws. It was a little challenging, but not too bad.

After 15 years our old GE finally just stopped working!
We bought the new improved model, and it is SO quiet...we just love it!
