OK features, but not as good as the old model.

The one obvious flaw is no lighting on the control panel. There must be a light on directly overhead in order to punch buttons on the panel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needed to replace 8 year old microwave with current version to fit a specific cabinet cutout. Working well so far. Hope that the keypad lasts at least as long as preceding model.

no heat after less than 2 1/2 months

This microwave replaced another GE unit that we had installed in 2007 during our kitchen remodel. This is one of the only two models from GE that is just 1/8" taller then my old one therefore a trim piece on my cabinet wasn't reinstall and is waiting for modification. This oven has noticeably less power then my old one even though they were both from the GE PROFILE line. And last night after 2 1/2 months it has no heat at all. Called this morning and received very prompt response and said a local technician will be coming in a couple of days. Will see how things go but right now very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
