I actually love this microwave, this is my 2nd or 3rd (they don't last forever) and I will continue purchasing this model and brand. It fits perfectly in the pantry niche and it is gorgeous. It gets a lot of work, too.

Display is hard to read

We have had a GE microwave for 30 years. This one replaces the one we have had for 14 years. Everything looks nice and works fine, nice and quiet while running. My only problem is that the display is very hard to read compared to my old one. It is in gray rather than bright white and we have difficulty reading it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect size. Sleek look. Installed in our kitchen island. Nice trim kit. Plan to get same one for basement (Rec Room) ring renovated now.

Love my new GE microwave!

We bought the same GE model 18 years ago when we remodeled our kitchen. I was dreading the day we’d have to replace it, but we’ve been pleasantly surprised how much the Sam basic model has improved and fits perfectly in the same space! Thanks GE!

Cooking speed fine. We like ability to turn off turntable but buttons require much too much pressure to work

This was the only microwave that would fit in the built in space where the old one was. It is nice looking. However, the turntable is always off center, the buttons are difficult to push and it takes twice as long to heat as the old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Attractive design/compact size

I replaced my 13 year old GE Profile microwave oven with this new model #PEM31SF3SS and I am very happy with me purchase. My old GE Profile microwave is still operating but the top of the inner oven flaked off due to a manufacturing defect with these ovens back when they were manufactured. I am hoping this issue has been resolved with this new model. I wish it had 1200 watts of power versus 800 watts but this space saving model only comes with 800 watt power. I am a single male who lives alone and this microwave oven meets all of my needs quite satisfactorily. Simply, a well made product at a fair price. You can't go wrong with this oven, especially if you have limited counter space.
