Very good product

Works great, very quite running, controls sense when food is ready. Looks great as a built in in overhead cabinet. This was my third GE purchase replacing older appliances.

Nice looking but not enough functionality

These good reviews swayed my thinking—very regrettable. This microwave is only good for heating your beverage Or very small jobs, that’s it. It is great looking but doesn’t function well. I put in a bagged popcorn today and all it did was burn the bag. The heating is twice as long as most microwaves which I assume is due to the wattage. Also, it doesn’t fit a standard square plate, so only a standard circular plate will work (or smaller). Not happy, what I wouldn’t do to have the chance to exchange/upgrade to one of the other larger/higher wattage microwaves. I bought for ease of space and it had a trim piece to install in the wall (remodel appliances). I bought the matching oven too, no complaints on that one. I will likely be replacing this sooner than later. We call it our kitchen decoration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Disappointment

Since my old GE microwave died I had to get this one to replace it. Besides being too big to fit in the built in space I had with it's trim kit, I hate the microwave. The door is difficult to press to get open, if you don't slam it shut the microwave will not work, the buttons are very difficult to read. There is not one thing I like about this and I wish I had gotten something else.

very nice under the cabinet microwave

Purchased this microwave to replace previous GE under the cabinet unit that lasted 23 years. Only had this one for a few months, but very pleased thus far - was easy to mount and seems like a very nice under the cabinet microwave.

Second Purchase of Same Model

We've had this microwave for years until it finally reached the end of its life. We decided to order the same model again since we had no complaints with the first one. The new one is the exact same except for two features that we noticed were different: 1-the digital screen is much brighter than the older model, and 2-the microwave runs much quieter. It is so quiet that we had to get close to listen to see if it was actually on. Great microwave.

Fatal design flaw renders this GE product useless

The display was redesigned from earlier models. As a result, the display can no longer be read without a flashlight. Yes, you read that correctly. One needs an external light source to read the display. This fatal shortcoming makes me wonder about GE's quality control and customer satisfaction procedures. Has American manufacturing really sunk to this level? Do not buy this product. It is a waste of your good money.
