Poor touch screen visibility

This replaced our previous Ge spacemaker microwave oven. The touch screen panel on this new one is very hard to read. The letters are not bold and do not seem as large. The previous one was very legible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This one is very similar to the previous GE model we had for over 20 years. In fact, it is the only model we could find that will fit in our space. It is not quite as deep and the turn table is smaller, but it works for us. The push to open is much stiffer, which I don't like. Overall, a microwave is a life saver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buy a flashlight so you could use this microwave

No backlit numbers on this microwave. Will need a flashlight to see the numbers on the panel in a dimly lit room or at night. Also check the cost of the new trim kit you will need for this unit.

We replaced an older GE unit, some 10 years old and wanted the same product, given we know it will last another 10 years. We love the size and features. We didn't want a giant microwave.

We bought this microwave to replace our old cabinet installed GE microwave. It took a bit of research to find our old unit's GE replacement model. Unfortunately, the dimensions and specifications of the new model were not exactly the same as the old model, so it took quite an effort to fit the replacement into the available space and install it inside the cabinet.

very hard to find a microwave with this depth. only negatives are the buttons are hard to read, and the door open button is somewhat hard to push.

Worst display and control panel ever

Can’t see panel because the lettering is so small and there is very poor lighting on the display. Very poorly engineered and designed.
