This replaces a previous GE that finally wore out after 15 years of multiple daily uses.
Mounted it under the cabinets and it fit like a glove..

New kitchen Reno needed a slim fit microwave to fit in a shelf above breakfast bar - a narrow shelf so this fit perfectly and functions great!

I chose GE for my microwave because it has never let me down, and I’ve been using their appliances for more than 40 years. I wouldn’t even think of switching to another brand!

Good Built-In, with some flaws

Kudos to GE for offering a rare, good-looking, solid cabinet depth microwave - a rarity that you will pay for. It's a bit expensive for a basic functional microwave and the main selling point is that it can be built-in to cabinet depth. It has all the convenience features that I care about - quick time select with 30 sec add, power levels and rotating platter (that you can turn off), surprisingly good interior space for a small footprint.
Solid performance albeit on the low power end. Cooking times are noticeably a little longer than my last oven. Fir and finish are ok but not perfect. The door gap hangs down lower than the right panel and creates a little discontinuity in the lines (see picture). The plastic surround deforms when you screw it against the cabinet face too tight - be careful.
Overall, a solid performer and happy that I could free the counter space with a serviceable microwave that looks good as long as you don't look too close. I would recommend with reservations.

Open and Closed case. Very noisy when closing!

It looks and works just fine, however, it is Very noisey when shutting the door. We have had at least 3 of this model over the last 20 years and none of them banged or made a loud noise when shutting the door. Overall, we are pleased with how it works.
