Good small form factor microwave

I bought this microwave when my previous GE microwave failed after 19 years of good use. I hope the new microwave lasts just as long - if not longer. The new microwave is basically same size and the same power as the old microwave.

OK, not fantastic

We just built a new house. This microwave was already purchased by builder. We would not have purchased it. It is too hard to open and sounds clunky.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello- Thanks for taking the time to share your review. Congratulations on your new home, that is very exciting! We can understand your concern in regards to the door. If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension.

Challenge to open door

Do not like the push button to open door, has to push really hard to open compare to microwave with handle. Not enough power but maybe due to size of microwave.

Fits perfect in flush cabinet opening. Not the highest wattage but perfect for simple needs: reheating, popcorn, thawing, etc... A nice sleek, compact design.
