Door isn't easy to open and it doesn't cook evenly

Hard to open. Not fond of push button opening. Doesn't seem to cook evenly.

There are some tips you can try to get your microwave to cook your food more evenly. Be sure the microwave glass tray is in place when using the microwave.
Incorrect arrangement of food in a container is one cause: Place larger, thicker pieces toward the outside of the container and smaller, thinner pieces toward the center. Place single items in the center. Arrange several items in a circular arrangement around the center. In some cases, you may need to rotate the dish and stir or cover if appropriate, since trapped steam and heat help to promote even cooking. You can even lower the power level and extend the cooking time. Make sure that the ingredients are well mixed/blended. Use a ring-shaped or round container, if possible. Ring-shaped containers have no corners or center and result in faster, more even cooking. The corners in square or oblong containers absorb microwave energy from four directions: the two sides, bottom and top. The sides absorb energy from three directions: side, bottom and top. The center absorbs energy from only two directions: bottom and top. Make sure that the food is completely defrosted before cooking.

This is the best microwave oven I've ever used. The way it heats a cup for water is absolutely breathtaking. Plus it can be installed. I'd give six or eight stars if I could.

We've had 2 of these microwaves in our office breakroom for over 7 years ... 1 recently had issues but we had no problem re-ordering, reinstalling...good customer service.

Hello- We appreciate your purchase and can understand your concern. We are happy to explain. If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. Also, if the microwave starts as soon as the door is closed, the microwave isn't really starting; the fan is coming on in anticipation of the unit starting. We hope this helps to ease your concerns.
