NICE MACHINE; COULD BE IMPROVED

WORKS FINE—NO PROBLEM THERE. SIMILAR ENOUGH TO OUR OLD SPACEMAKER II, WHICH DIED A SUDDEN, SCAREY DEATH. THE SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS: 1) PUSH BUTTONS SHOULD BE MORE RESPONSIVE, NEED LESS PRESSURE—JUST LIKE OUR OLD MACHINE. 2) GIVE MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT INSTRUCTIONS AND PART NUMBERS ABOUT HANGING THE MACHINE UNDER A CABINET. AS ANOTHER REVIEWER NOTED, ONE COULD BUY A PIECE OF METAL FROM THE HARDWARE STORE, DRILL HOLES, AND MAKE BETTER HANING DEVICES AT HOME. HAD TO DO MY OWN MODIFICATIONS ON THE HANGERS FROM THE OLD MACHINE.

GE under the counter microwave oven

We had the same model for 10 years before it broke. The new one is the same model, the only one we found that fits under our cabinet to hang from. It is a great countertop saver. It was surprising that the (hanging) holes were at different locations than the old ones, so new holes had to be drilled in the cabinet. The new has a little funny noise the fan gives out, but it works ok. Considering how big the microwave is it could be more powerful than 800Watts

Space saver feature is great

We recently updated our GE space saver microware with a more current version. I was hoping the key pad could be a lighter color or the numbers and words are more visible.

Fits perfectly in my cabinet space. Love the sleek design and the features. Stainless steel easy to clean and looks great. The only downside is the very cheap-looking trim kit that goes with this unit. Very different from the beautiful one for the previous model (metal vs plastic). I still haven’t installed the kit because its installation design is very strange. Although the unit looks open and unfinished, the microwave oven is great.
