Hanging kit makes it better than the competition

We've only had the unit a few weeks, but it seems to be working well. The biggest draw to this unit was the ability to hang it under a cabinet. The cabinet hanging kit made the sale. One thing about these GE microwaves that I would like to see different is some kind of back-lit keypad. For an old man like me it is tough to see what button you're pushing unless under bright light!

Bought this unit to replace our older one that died. The older model is no longer available, which is a shame as this one is inferior. The trim for in the counter is cheap plastic and the screw mounting holes are visible. Additionally the control panel is different with the buttons moved around

Our only option!

Our third GE microwave in 25 years for a built-in spot in our kitchen. While I'm thankful for this option since it is the ONLY microwave that fits in the space, the dimensions were changed ever so slightly so that the wood frame built to surround the microwave will need to be altered.
A great microwave, although the buttons were changed with the updates since our last one, so we're still getting used to it. It doesn't sound as solid as I would like when you close the door and, indeed, was the downfall of our previous unit.

Works just fine. Takes a little longer since it is 800 watts. Unfortunately, there is nothing under the glass turntable to keep it from wobbling around..

Glad to have this model as an option. Its the only microwave on the market with a depth that’s short enough to sit on a kitchen cabinet shelf—inside the cabinet with NO overhang, so you can close the cabinet door.
I would recommend this to a friend!
