Short life span

We purchased this Microwave with a manufactuer date of January 2021. It is now not working January 2024. Less than 3 years seems like an awfully short life for an appliance like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sensor cooking issue

Sensor cooking feature doesn't work well at all, especially for popcorn or heating a beverage.

Previous model was somewhat better

I bought this microwave to replace the previous very similar model that I had for ~12yrs. I was disappointed to find that I also needed to buy a new trim kit to install it as a "built-in" since the new model is very slightly larger dimension (~1/8" larger) than the old one. I am also disappointed with the interior lighting which is now "yellowish" instead of bright white; and the printing on the control panel is now dim and difficult to read. But installation was relatively easy and the microwave functions well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
