Yea! It Fits Where My Old One Was!

Overall, the microwave seems good. It was the only one that fit in the space where I had my old one—mounted underneath a set of upper cabinets so that the bottom of the unit aligned with the adjacent cabinets—a huge relief. If it hadn’t fit, I would have needed to hire a carpenter, which would have been expensive and probably ugly. It is unfortunate that the bottom of the unit isn't flat, as we see that profile when we sit at our kitchen table. We removed the little black rubber feet on the bottom, which was a help. If you have an old GE Spacemaker, it is your only option. This unit is slightly taller—12” versus the prior unit's 10”.
It is very quiet, which is nice. However, when I close the door, it sounds a bit tinny compared to my old one. I hope the door latches last, as they seem a little thin. I like that I can turn off the turntable to accommodate large rectangular platters. I haven't explored the various cooking settings, as I usually just hit the number of minutes I want.

Very well designed, Beautiful Stainless Steel exterior, works as described,. However, I would like to see the buttons alluminanted for night cooking, hard to find.

Horrible excuse for a modern microwave.

Cheaply made with limited features! The door hinge and opening mechanism are very weak. The operating panel is not back-lit. Horribly cost down-engineered. They even removed the microwave spreader and replaced it with a turntable -- a cheap 1980s design that drastically compromises the usable cavity space. The only reason purchased is that it was the only one that fit the existing built-in space in the kitchen cabinet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Control Panel Poorly Designed

The control panel label text is not back-lit and the panel’s text is very dark. Hard to read at night and during the day. I wish GE could provide a stick-on text panel to provide an easier-to- read option?
